About Pool Calc Hub
Pool Calc Hub exists for one reason: pool chemistry questions deserve straight answers with the math shown.
Who's behind this
Hi 鈥?I'm Zhaohua. By trade, I'm a digitalization consultant for manufacturing companies: my day job is helping factory owners replace guesswork and paperwork with systems that actually work. I've spent years turning messy real-world processes into clear, checkable numbers.
Pool chemistry turned out to be the same problem wearing different clothes: confusing advice, hidden agendas, and simple math that nobody bothers to show. So I did what I do for a living 鈥?I built the tools, and made the formulas public.
I'll be honest about what I am: I'm not a 30-year pool veteran. I'm a systems builder who verifies every formula against manufacturer manuals and industry-standard references, and labels every result as an estimate. If that transparency-first approach sounds better than a mystery guru, you're in the right place.
Our principles
- Show the math. Every calculator page documents its formula. If we're wrong, you can prove it 鈥?and we'll fix it fast.
- Manuals over opinions. Dosing targets follow salt cell and equipment manufacturers, not forum folklore.
- No signup. Your pool's numbers are your business. Everything runs in your browser.
- Free forever. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, not paywalls.
- Estimates, honestly labeled. Real pools have real-world surprises. We always tell you to re-test after dosing.
Who it's for
Owners of saltwater and chlorine pools 鈥?new pool owners doing their first salt startup, DIYers balancing their own water, and anyone tired of guessing how many bags to buy.
How this site is built
Transparency to the bottom: this site is built and maintained with AI-assisted development under my direction 鈥?every formula is hand-checked against manufacturer documentation and industry references before it ships. When AI helps, a human verifies. Same principle I teach factory owners.
